European Commission publishes toolbox of good practices on IPM methods

On 28 February, the European Commission published a database providing an overview of currently available IPM methods.

To increase the success of IPM implementation, support at national and EU level through information and dissemination measures on all existing alternatives and new technologies is essential. This toolbox represents such an effort to promote and support the use of IPM, as required by the current SUD. Based on the eight IPM principles, the database includes examples of practices, techniques and technologies as well as crop-specific guidelines. This compilation of practices shows that there is a great variety in the adoption and implementation options for IPM in different EU countries.
